Mrs. Gentry was married to the late Pastor Tony Gentry for 26 years. In November 2018, they obtained their Foster Care License, and in December 2019 they opened their home to three beautiful foster children (ages 4 months, 1 & 2). In October 2021, they opened their home to receive three of their current foster children's siblings (ages 1, 5, & 6) in order to keep all six children together. Pastor Gentry was blessed to adopt the first set of siblings March 2023. July 1, 2023 Pastor Gentry left this earthly home to be with The Lord. June 2024, Mrs. Gentry adopted the other set of siblings and she is doing her best to give them the best life they could possibly have.

Mrs. Gentry was a Professional Licensed Barber for 30 years and retired in 2014. She began working at The Restoration/Knox Center, a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Treatment facility, in 2015 for 7 years as the Administrative Supervisor over four facilities within Kansas. Her journey there ended in November 2021. In December 2021 she started working at HealthCore Clinic as the Executive Assistant. Due to unpreventable circumstances she had to retire in 2024 to become a full-time mother to her 6 beautiful children.

Mrs. Gentry is the President and founder of  I Am A Diamond, Inc (IAAD) in which she started in November, 2022. Her endeavor is to reach women across the city to let them know their lives still matter by providing resources for self-awareness, mental health, education, and life skills. Her ultimate goal is to pour into them that their lives matter regardless of the past negative experiences they may have encountered. Annually IAAD host The Fearfully and Wonderfully Made Diamond Dinner; an event where they reach out to women who have experienced all forms of abuse, homelessness, suicidal ideations, substance use, and low self-esteem due to past or present negative experiences. The dinner consists of approximately 150-200  women to let them know they ARE somebody... someone who has been FEARFULLY & WONDERFULLY MADE.
